Hey folks, I'm currently attempting to convert my physical Win 10 machine to a VM and I'm having trouble with the conversion process. Win10 is installed on an SSD and I'm attempting to transfer the image using the command...

 

qemu-img convert -p -O raw /dev/sdj /mnt/user/vDisks/Legolas/vdisk1.img

 

The conversion gets to 1% and then gives an error...

 

qemu-img: error while reading sector 9109504: Input/output error

 

Any ideas? I'd really like to avoid having to install Windows from scratch.

    Well, I bit the bullet and have just installed Windows from scratch. All working sweet with a passed through GPU and USB3 Controller.

     

    Has there been any fixes for the issues with passing through BR/DVD burners? I've got it to show in Windows but performance is crap.
