how to setup owncloud - which docker, or VM ?

Hi,

I have been trying to figure out the best way to setup owncloud and reading through the various posts (there are too many pages to read).

 

a few questions.

 

1)do you recommend going the VM route that some have?  debian in VM then install newest owncloud

 

2) if docker recommended, which one?  how can you tell which version of owncloud is in the docker (would like newest 9.02)

 

3) if docker, can someone post a screenshot of their owncloud docker setup screen? showing the how they configured the various paths, volume mappings, etc.
