June 20, 201610 yr Hi all I could really use some help. I recently had an error with the dolphin docker where it would't start. So I selected edit > save. to me this is a "re-install" that failed with an error. I remember the error stating "EOF" somewhere. So I thought my docker image might be full so I disabled docker, changed the image size from 20Gb to 25GB, Apply, then enable and apply again. I did this twice. Now docker won't start. bringing up the log from the GUI I can see the line "starting docker..." but it just stops there. How do I trouble shoot this? Also worth noting. about three weeks ago I was playing with docker trying to install custom applications from other (non-unraid) repositories. basically I just wanted a simple ffmpeg install with no GUI. Well to be honest I'm not sure what I did right or wrong but I kept seeing 2 orphaned applications popup. I tried to delete them but error was application (insert application ID) was not found. NOTE: I have had several successful reboots after trying to add a custom docker application. Thanks syslog.txt
June 20, 201610 yr Community Expert For V6 support, instead of posting syslog you should always go to Tools - Diagnostics and post the complete diagnostics zip. It includes syslog as well as many other useful things including docker log. According to your syslog you don't have a cache disk so what disk do you have docker img installed on? Is it disk3? Disk3 has some messages that make me think you may have a connection issue there.
June 20, 201610 yr Author dangit, and here I thought I was being a good boy submitting the syslog from the start. see attached diagnostics. correct no Cache disk. docker is /mnt/user/Apps/docker/docker.img All of my disks and share are up.
June 21, 201610 yr Author Noted trurl. I only started with Unraid a year ago so I guess we'll chalk it up to rookie error however it has been running on the share since day one. Any advice on how to troubleshoot? Googling the error hasn't lead to any solid leads and everyone on the unraid forums says to delete and rebuild the docker image.
June 21, 201610 yr Community Expert Deleting and recreating docker img is the simplest and likely to cause the fewest problems. That is what I would do. You can just add your Previous Apps back in from Community Applications and you should be back in business. You might want to read the Docker FAQ sticky if you haven't already.
