Hello everyone. I am trying to do something and I must be missing something.

I am trying to add VMs to an unassigned drive outside of the pool or cache. I currently have VMs installed on my cache drive but I want that to stay dedicated to cache.

Thanks for the help.

You have to format the unassigned devices ssd (i use xfs), create or move the VM's virtual harddrive to the SSD and change/add the vdisk location in the vm config (gui or xml).

I have a VM installed on the unassigned ssd. THing is if I want to move VM's or files into this unassigned ssd how do I map this drive to import things?

Thanks

You have to log in via SSH and move (mv) the vdisk to the SSD, then edit the VM and change the vdisk location.

You may find it easier to install Krusader docker, then use that to copy the vdisks to your unassigned disk if you are not confident using  command line to move files.
