PCIe Wireless Adapter Support

Featured Replies

I'm thinking of trying out unRAID but I have a concern regarding the compatibility of my PC hardware. My network connection is wireless, using the ASUS PCE-AC68 wireless network adapter. Based on my limited experience, it seems that most linux distros do not have drivers for the card out-of-the-box. I do believe that it's possible to get working drivers for it, however. Having never tried unRAID before, does anyone know what problems and challenges this is likely to cause?

I cannot respond to using a Wireless adapter....  However a Wireless bridge would work (you connect to it via an Ethernet cable),  or better yet -  a PowerLine bridge adapter

unRAID does not include wireless support.  Wireless almost never makes sense for a file server.  But if you absolutely have to have it, the suggestions above are what a few have done.  But being wireless, you'll have to live with limited performance and reliability.
