June 21, 201610 yr I'm thinking of trying out unRAID but I have a concern regarding the compatibility of my PC hardware. My network connection is wireless, using the ASUS PCE-AC68 wireless network adapter. Based on my limited experience, it seems that most linux distros do not have drivers for the card out-of-the-box. I do believe that it's possible to get working drivers for it, however. Having never tried unRAID before, does anyone know what problems and challenges this is likely to cause?
June 21, 201610 yr I cannot respond to using a Wireless adapter.... However a Wireless bridge would work (you connect to it via an Ethernet cable), or better yet - a PowerLine bridge adapter
June 21, 201610 yr unRAID does not include wireless support. Wireless almost never makes sense for a file server. But if you absolutely have to have it, the suggestions above are what a few have done. But being wireless, you'll have to live with limited performance and reliability.
