E-ATX Motherboard in an EEB Supported Case

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

So i'm looking at a rather over the top case upgrade for my server, more specifically one of these server cases

I am looking to fit my motherboard into this server case. The server case doesn't officially support E-ATX but i know they are practically identical in size to EEB but with some different mounts. I've seen issues with people mounting EEB motherboards into an E-ATX case but not much on fitting E-ATX into an EEB motherboard

Does anyone has any experience with anything like this?

I'm also slightly concerned as my CPU has a watercooling block on it which obviously means it needs extra space than normal - most normal cases have the cutout for stuff like this but i don't know if a server case would support it or not?

I've never done a server case build before so this will be an interesting one for me - especially with the planned watercooled system i plan to be running

Jamie
