John_M Posted June 23, 2016 Share Posted June 23, 2016 No. You can pre-clear any size drives, regardless of your parity disk size. EDIT: The size of your parity disk(s) vs the size of your data disks only becomes an issue when you try to add the larger disks to your array. When pre-clearing a disk it is by definition not part of the array. Therefore not a problem. Quote Link to comment
