Plex cant see folders.. appreciate advice

Featured Replies

Hello,

Hello. I've setup UnRaid (6.1.8) ok, have my digital content in SMB shares / public folders, I can access these shares from any other pc with no problems, but Plex cant see these shares, but they are available in tower management browser, under shares tab under /mnt/user/A.V_Content, but nothing when I drill down into mnt inside plex, just the back button. The permissions are public, so i don't know what else to try.

BTW - I've been using Plex on my Qnap and Windows server for a while and have an ok grassp on setting up plex... but I'm no Linux expert.

I've uploaded the log date, I'm currently in 30 day trial and hoping to replace Qnap with this... so any guidance appreciated please?

Cheers, Julian

Please post version of Unraid, if you are using Plugin or Docker? You will need to map the shares and restart the docker.img

You need to pass a container volume mapped to /mnt/user/A.V_Content and then within plex refer to it.  See the docker FAQ, and post a screenshot of your volume mappings (ie the screen when you edit the Plex container)

docker or plug-in. I am assuming docker since this is a common error for first time users. For Plex (inside the docker) to see shares on the server they need to be exposed using volume mapping. See pic for example mappings. Once set, the names you assigned in the left-hand column will appear in Plex to use as root for a Library. Then it will work. :)

in Plex the share should appear at the top level of the list. Don't drill into /mnt/
