Trying to install unmenu - Unable to download release list from http://unraid-un

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I am having trouble install unmenu on 6.1.9.

Following from this thread https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=27051.0

I downloaded the latest build from https://code.google.com/archive/p/unraid-unmenu/downloads'>https://code.google.com/archive/p/unraid-unmenu/downloads

and followed these instructions https://code.google.com/archive/p/unraid-unmenu/

I don't get very far at all, I created the folder /boot/unmenu/, I copied the installer to the folder and when i try and run

unmenu_install -i -d /boot/unmenu

I get the following error

Unable to download release list from http://unraid-unmenu.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/release_list

If I run

ping -c 5 google.com

or

ping -c 5 googlecode.com

I get the proper results, and I have manually set DNS to either be my router, or googles public DNS and I get the same result.

Google no longer supports downloads of individual files from code.google.com.

unmenu cannot be installed using those instructions.

OK, thanks, I'll look again for newer instructions.

What exactly are you looking for from unMenu?  Just about everything is available in the stock webUI nowadays

The one thing I don't see yet is IO performance on each drive.

I like unmenu as a last ditch if nothing else works. Is it dead?

Look in the unMenu thread.  I think someone documented how they installed it.  Me I just copy the directory of it installed from server to server.  If you made a backup of your flash drive when it was installed you could try that.  Now that Dynamix has the IO performance on the drives I don't use it any more.  Was the last thing I really wanted.  It would be nice if you could customize the columns displayed like you can in MyMain/unMenu but I can live without it for now.

I'm following this thread and I need unMenu for "MySQL Database Server". Is that in the stock webUI? Or is there a more up to date guide for installing mariadb for Kodi on unRaid?

On the current version of Unraid one would expect to run a darabase server as a docker container.     There seem to be a wide variety of options available as docker containers.

UnMenu was only ever maintained up to Unraid v5 - I am not sure it could even be made to run on the current version.     Certainly any packages it could install will not be compatible (v5 was 32-bit, while v6 is 64-bit).
