Anychance changing motherboard and cpu will be painless?

In another thread I noted my AMD A6 system is under powered for multi PLEX streaming so since I have an old WIN 10 1090T PC running I was thinking of swapping OSes.

Any chance of a simple migration of (2@4T Parity Drives - 3@3T Data Drives - 1 500G Cache Drive)  to another machine or is this a re-do from scratch project?

I was dreaming that the bootable thumbdrive would re-configure to the new machine if I at least put the drives back in the same SATA order...

Should be seamless so long as the new hardware works.

unRAID is hardware agnostic in that only the drives are what is tracked, for obvious reasons.

Thx guys for the quick replies.

Are the hd sata placements important or can I toss them all in the 1090T machine and cross fingers?

write it down JUST IN CASE, but likely toss them in and it'll work, crossing fingers not required.

Definitely jot down which is the parity drive and which are the data drives before starting.

Did it myself too.

No need to write down what drive is what as that info is stored on the thumb drive you use for unRAID.

It was as someone else put it... a piece of cake.

Still write it down, just in case the super file is somehow corrupted. It can happen.
