Vr2Io
I set 3 disk cache pool in RAID 0 and got ~450MB throughput. So, will it possible support array w parity in TURBO READ, not sure CPU fast enough or not. But I think this will benefit to Array <-> Cache pool operation or 10Gbe network transfer. trurl
The parity array is not raid0 and don't expect it will ever be. The general philosophy with unRAID is no striping so each disk is an independent file system. Also was your cache pool SSDs? That might explain some of your speed gain. Quote Link to comment
Vr2Io
You are right, I miss something, even array disk have 200MB/s throughput, reconstruct data will max at 200MB/s too. In first, I wrong think it will got 200MB/s+++. BTW, my cache disks was 3 years age 3.5" HDD. Quote Link to comment
TechDaddy
I think it would be grand if you could set aside some of the cache pool as a read cache. This would allow me to truly use unraid to store all my steam games. They KEY here is that i would not have to move the games around. It will see a trend of what I'm getting on a regular basis and start to store that in the read cache for faster access. Quote Link to comment
