Can't access shares after inital setup

Featured Replies

I installed the most recent beta version of unRAID today for my first experience. I started my server with 2 data drives, 2 SSDs for cache/Vm use, with no parity yet as I plan on throwing alot of data at it as soon as I get my VM up. I have a disk to use for it.

After the inital setup, I made a media and backup share which I could access with my user account "riley". Then I went to make my first VM (Win 10). So I enabled VMs to get the iso share made automatically, and when I went to put my ISO in the share, all of a sudden I cannot access my shares. I navigate to the ip through the network tab in explorer (forgot to say, I am useing Win 10 on my laptop for all this setup) and it asks for a login before it even shows me the shares.

I have restarted multiple times, cleared my windows credentials, and other troubleshooting things I have seen on other threads. I checked all my shares and they are public/private but with my usere account with r/w access, as tested before I tried to make the first VM.

I am really at a loss of what to try now other than to completely restart the installation, which wouldn't be a huge loss as I dont have much into it.
