Reiserfs Checking Transaction Log Hang Up

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Sadly, my troubles continue. After an unclear power down, I'm getting REISERFS checks going. After "checking transaction log" for md1 it seems to stop. I can't tell if it's still working in the background or if it's frozen. When I google checking transaction log and unraid, all the logs I see that include that line also include other info immediately after it...

How should I proceed? Let it do it's thing or do I need to take action?

I can't access GUI/Flash or I would pull Diagnostics

No idea what time zone you're in and how long its already been running, but it might take a couple of minutes to figure it all out.

Should it take minutes or hours? Will there be any other syslog messages during the process, or only once complete?

If its hours, then I'd say something is definitely wrong.

What I think you'd have to do in that case is edit the config/disk.cfg file on the flash drive and set startArray to be "no", then reboot (via ssh and the powerdown -r command).

Following that, I'd start the array in maintenance mode and run the filesystem check on the drive (disk1)
