Hi,

You use this source https://download.nextcloud.com/server/releases/latest.tar.bz2 for build this container. The last NextCloud version is 13.0.6 ?

Can you just rebuild this container ?

Thanks.

It'll get rebuilt tonight in our weekly refresh, but this won't install the latest version when you update the container.

Just read through this on how to upgrade:

update via the webui, the nextcloud files are stored in the volume mount.

this one of the very few exceptions where we say update via the webui.

Ok, I'm waiting this week. Thanks.

I have already tried to update via the webui but it does not end successfully.

Good luck waiting for the rebuild as that won't work. Read my post again.

So if I have some large file (10 gigs let's say) on a share on my unRAID server (not my NextCloud share) that I want to be able to share via my NextCloud server, what's the best way to go about it? I don't want to have to create sync folder or  anything, I just want to push the file to the NextCloud  server and have the original copy in the original unRAID share and the new copy up in the "cloud" on my NextCloud server.

For myself I used the External storages 1.4.1 app to share two unRAID shares that I have outside of Nextcloud storage.

I was wondering this too

When I try nextcloud and tries to upload many files at once, the client looses the connection to the server all the time and dont seems to be able to upload anything.
Happens on both windows and iOS client.
May this have something to do with the share for nextcloud using the cache drive or is it just my server that is too slow?
(i7-970)

edit: dug a bit more into it, looks like it goes into a deadlock when hitting the database with a lot of updates at once.

I've got the External Storages app going but I'm having a hard time getting the shares to hook up to the server, can you share an example of how you configured one? Thanks!!!

Yes, what I did was for my Nextcloud docker was add my two external storage paths as additional mounts inside the docker by clicking on "Add another Path, Port, Variable, Label or Device":

image.png.8afe2a7c176f2734c65a24607ac5d3b1.png

Then enter my details:

Then once I had them entered, go back to External Storages app and added them there.

I've done a couple clean installs and am running into an issue with integrity checks.  I've copied and pasted the output, but it looks like it's generating a bad certificate.  Any idea how to regenerate this?

Additionally, I've gotten an error about internet connectivity, but within the Docker console I am able to ping and reach out to the internet.

  • This server has no working Internet connection: Multiple endpoints could not be reached. This means that some of the features like mounting external storage, notifications about updates or installation of third-party apps will not work. Accessing files remotely and sending of notification emails might not work, either. Establish a connection from this server to the Internet to enjoy all features.

I solved my previous issue.  I had forgotten to remove the configuration files from the previous installations that populated in the share.  Removing/reinstalling the docker image did not automatically delete the files in the Nextcloud share.  Blasting those away, doing a clean install, seems to have resolved all of my issues.

LSIO's weekly updates (Friday @23:00 GMT) on all their containers (with the exception of Plex) updates the application to the latest version (if one is available), applies any security CVE's etc to the base image, etc.  Its all automated, so you're not going to find a changelog per se.

Really.  I always thought that Plex was their only exception, mainly due to Plex's release schedule of a new version every 2 minutes, and the inane need for Plex users to insist on always being on the latest buggy version.

It'll get rebuilt tonight in our weekly refresh, but this won't install the latest version when you update the container.

Just read through this on how to upgrade:

Yeah, apparently Nextcloud doesn't upgrade well as an embedded docker update, since there are scripts that need to be run as a part of the update to modify the database and other stuff.

What is gained by updating the docker container if we updated Nextcloud through its GUI?
