July 1, 201610 yr I removed a disk to convert to a cache disk so tried to follow the remove a drive faq finished up then ran the parity check from the main tab. And after it finished running I got: "unRAID Parity check: 2016-06-30 15:46 Notice [bIGTOWER] - Parity check finished (94783070 errors) Duration: 1 day, 6 hours, 46 minutes, 44 seconds. Average speed: 27.1 MB/s" seems like quite a few errors... should i be worried?
July 1, 201610 yr That particular wiki page has not been updated for v6, and the top section is incomplete, no mention of parity rebuilding. I'm sorry. The basic instructions to remove a drive are very simple: - Tools -> New Config - Reassign all of your drives (except the ones you are removing of course) - Start the array and let it build parity I'm not sure what you did, but it doesn't sound like you rebuilt parity. So when you ran the parity check, it would have produced a HUGE number of errors as it subtracted out the removed drive. That's what you saw. You may want to run another parity check now, to assure yourself that parity is fine again. I'll try to fix that wiki page.
July 2, 201610 yr Author I could have sworn that I did all those steps except before those, I moved all the data from the drive I removed to other drives. Anyway, will do another parity check and cross my fingers (have been accessing the server for a day and things *seem* to be ok)(famous last words)

July 3, 201610 yr Author Could be Regardless though, the second check finished and reported: Sync errors corrected: 0 yeh?
