Loosing connection to my Unraid/Plex Server

Featured Replies

Hello All,

Recently I've had two instances where I loose all connection to my unraid server that I use only for plex media server. The first time it happened (about a month ago) was sometime after the server started a parity check @ 2am in the morning (once a week) when no is watching any media. I had received email notification that the parity check had started, so I know that it was still online. I attributed this first failure to the parity check, thinking that the server had some kind of hiccup. But today (7/5/16) it happened again while I was just on my PC and I noticed that I lost connection to my shares and then i checked and couldn't access PMS.

Now I am worried that the issue is with my hardware or the ethernet connection on the motherboard. Unfortunately, I am using a mITX board and am already using the PCIe slot for a SATA expansion card, and cannot add a network card.

Here is a list of my components....

MB: ASUS H97I-PLUS mITX

CPU: intel i7-4790k w/Noctua NH-L9x65 cooler

PS: SILVERSTONE SX500-LG

RAM:G.SKILL TridentX Series DDR3 16GB (2 x 8GB)

Cache: SAMSUNG 840 EVO MZ-7TE120BW 2.5" 120GB

Parity & Storage: Seagate ST4000VN000 4TB NAS x4

Attached is the Diagnostic zip. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
