July 11, 20169 yr I have no nvidia or AMD drivers installed on my VM at this time. I have an older AMD 6450 in my primary PCI-E slot and a GTX 750 Ti in the secondary PCI-E slot, if i try to boot the VM from the AMD card it works without any issues, if I change over to the Nvidia card in the VM display settings then it fails, i get the Windows loading icon and then a black screen. Any help is appreciated.
July 11, 20169 yr What do you mean trying to boot the VM "FROM" the AMD card? Passing the AMD card through to the VM? Have you checked your IOMMU group?
July 12, 20169 yr Author I just mean that if I use the AMD card as the selected video card in the VM settings it works and if I use the Nvidia card it does not.
July 15, 20169 yr Author Here are the details on the IOMMU groups and the PCI devices. As you can see the nVidia card is group 26 and the AMD card is group 27, there are no other devices in these groups. 03:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GM107 [GeForce GTX 750 Ti] (rev a2) 03:00.1 Audio device: NVIDIA Corporation Device 0fbc (rev a1) 04:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
