user share - Retry unmounting user share(s)

Featured Replies

Hi everyone! new user here, hit a first hurdle.

No user shares setup yet, I stop the array and I get:

"user share - Retry unmounting user share(s)"

in an endless cycle. Pretty rubbish.

I can terminal to the unraid server and reboot it and it comes up fine. but dosnt allow me to stop the array without going into a loop. I'm running windows 10, chrome and ie and nothing seems to work. The only thing ive attempted is to set up docker, just went pro and so far this issue has completely stumped me.

Any ideas??

Something is still accessing the user share space.

It's not the browser, but it could be a SSH terminal from putty or an open folder on Windows or a plugin.

Because you have no shares setup you're not really risking anything if you just hit the powerbutton and restart it that way.

When you do manage to reboot install 2 of dlandon's plugins which are helpful in this scenario, if you haven't installed the Community Applications plugin then do so first.

If you read the first post in the support thread for it, it will explain way better than I ever can.  Might be worth investigating a bit why you were having the problem in the first place though.  Whilst you have no data on the array and nothing to lose.  Before you start using it though.  Could uninstall powerdown and see, capture some diagnostics.
