Possible Permissions Issue

Featured Replies

I have a User Share called "Media". Inside that I have multiple folders, two being "Movies" and "TV".

From a Win7Pro VM on unRAID I can write to the "TV" folder and not the "Movies" folder.

Any ideas? Probably something really simple that I'm missing

TeraCopy says: The system cannot find the path specified

Windows Explorer just says that I need permission to perform this action

Thanks. Just tried that but found nothing

It just seems to be the "Movies" folder. Using Windows I can create a folder and the same level as "Movies" and then move it into the Movies folder. Once that new folder is in there I can open it and write as expected.

Log into your Unraid system and run the command:

ls -ld /mnt/user/Media/Movies

and let us know what the output is.

drwxr-xr-x 1 nobody users 80 Jul 17 09:25 /mnt/user/Media/LIB/VIDEO_LIB/MOVIES_OTHER/Movies/

Try changing the permissions on that folder using the command:

chmod 777 /mnt/user/Media/LIB/VIDEO_LIB/MOVIES_OTHER/Movies
