Plex & CrashPlan Problems - weird

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I finally had both Plex and CrashPlan working until perhaps 20 days ago (away for a vacation) but now my Plex Server disappeared on my Primary Server (tower) and my CrashPlan on my Backup Server has a nice Red Box .  Neither of which can I seem to get working again.  It's great to have a backup, but somewhere I should have put the various Docker Settings into a written form so I could restore the data without a headache :-X.  Unfortunately I didn't keep all my details so I don't have any idea of how to get them back.

I did reinstall Plex looking at my long prior thread back in January, but even though I think everything is the same, Plex doesn't seem to access my Tower (port or no port on the same network subnet).

Suggestions Please  :(

I thought your can always restore a docker to last set up by deleting it + image and reinstall using my template.

Or CA's previous apps section

Either method the template is already filled out exactly the way it was.

Thanks Squid/Testdasi,

Didn't know I could do that, but just went to check.  Both Tower & Backup Server have "CrashPlan" but with the Desktop Gui (old version).

I noticed that my cache drive (old 1TB) died, so that may be the problem on the Backup Server.  Can I use a in-Array Drive and if so, how would I specify the /config and /data lines for CrashPlan?  Also I have my original (latest) 2TB Parity drive now in the array with nothing on it.  Can it be set for both the CrashPlan Docker image and a backup location (e.g. Tower Backups)?

As for Plex, I've probably overwritten the original Plex previously installed.  Regardless, I haven't got it working either!

Perhaps a "word to the wise" - make yourself a copy of your Docker Configs - dumarse! :-\
