Need help changing the IP address on my Unraid Server

Featured Replies

So I built an Unraid server for the purposes of installing Crashplan so that I could give the server to my brother who was passing through.  I wanted him to set it up at his house for an off-site Crashplan backup system.  I set up Unraid and Crashplan at my house, it all connected up fine and I did an initial backup.  My brother has turned on my Unraid server at his house (I had it set up to auto start the server and Crashplan), but it is not showing up on his router map.  I think I may have stupidly set it to have a static IP on my network, which would prevent it from getting onto his network.

Can I just have him edit the network.cfg file from USE DHCP "no" to "yes" and have him restart the server to get it on the network with an auto assigned IP?

yes
