Array Auto Start does not work on AC Power Loss

Featured Replies

For some reason, my power keeps going out in the middle of the night due to repairs. In the BIOS my computer is set to restart on AC power loss.

However, when unRAID restarts it doesn't automatically restart the array. If I reboot the device through the web gui, the array auto starts.

Is this a bug? Anyone know how to fix?\

Edit: Running 6.2.0-rc1

Is your battery backup properly shutting down the array? Have you simulated a power failure or watched one in progress to be sure? If unraid isn't shut down properly, it won't automatically start.

Yes you may not have your ups settings to shutdown the server quick enough, so the ups is going flat before complete shutdown.

I haven't invested in a battery backup yet. So I suppose I'll need to manually start the array after power loss until I get a UPS.

i'd be careful about those power outages, as data loss can happen if an outage happens during a write. If it would be a likely situation that the power goes off again, I would not even want to have my array up if possible.

If it is foreseeable that outages will remain for a while a UPS would be a good Idea.
