Is it possible to limit user shares to a specific size?

    You could use max free space to limit the size I would guess.  Ie your share is 100GB in size but you want it to be limited to 20GB,  set your min free space to 80GB.

    If I have a 3TB drive where I want to give two users 500GB and a third the rest of the drive, would that work? It seems like it would limit the users to a combined total, not a per-user total.

    Unraid doesn't support user quotas with a nice GUI feature or the standard linux quotas. You would have to do some command line hackery, one example that might work is setting up image files of the specific size you wanted, and manually mounting, formatting and sharing them using the standard linux command line tools.

     

    It's not simple.
