em1917 Posted July 26, 2016 Share Posted July 26, 2016 So I got the pcie ssd passthrough done and I can install windows onto it. the issue I am running into is getting it to boot with ovmf bios. Does anyone know how to add a pcie ssd to the boot menu either via the BIOS or the xml? You should install the unassigned devices plugin. You should then see the device on the main page of the unraid gui. I have a disk called sdc ST31000528AS_6VP41EPS You take the disk id and pass that through for the disk location. You can edit the xml or just paste into the gui for the disk location. mine above would be written like this /dev/disk/by-id/ata-ST31000528AS_6VP41EPS I dont have a pcie ssd but it should be the same.
