ryanm91
ive noticed since upgrading to this release my cache will no longer move to the array the mover script simply runs and then stops. Where is your diagnostics file? ive stopped my plex and rutorrent dockers and that made no difference as well tower-diagnostics-20160803-1035.zip tower-syslog-20160803-1037.zip Link to comment
eschultz
Everything was working perfectly with CA's appdata backup to user shares until I wound up installing a new container just to test that it installed ok. Now I'm getting this error: 2016/08/02 12:44:34 [6720] rsync: mknod "/mnt/user/Backups/Docker Appdata/[email protected]/gitlab-ce/data/gitlab-rails/sockets/gitlab.socket" failed: Function not implemented (38) 2016/08/02 12:44:34 [6720] rsync: mknod "/mnt/user/Backups/Docker Appdata/[email protected]/gitlab-ce/data/gitlab-workhorse/socket" failed: Function not implemented (38) 2016/08/02 12:44:34 [6720] rsync: mknod "/mnt/user/Backups/Docker Appdata/[email protected]/gitlab-ce/data/postgresql/.s.PGSQL.5432" failed: Function not implemented (38) (lots of fun finding 3 errors in a log composed of 200K lines ) Going directly to a disk share instead of a user share works perfectly. TBH not sure how commonly used this function is (I suspect its very rarely used in appdata) Those are Unix Sockets and are probably pretty rare. I'll need to check with Tom to see if SHFS (FUSE) is capable of storing unix sockets -- poor guy just got hardlink support in Link to comment

Vr2Io
Recently I build up a 2nd unRAID server with add-on cheap 5-Bay USB enclosure ( Plus licence with 8+4 bay config ). In general it work, but due to enclosure static report disk(s) "standby", so I think unRAID won't check the SMART/Temperature. Even I submit Spinup all disks or setting those disks never spindown, it still report standby. Sure I can check the SMART by "smartctl -d sat". Is it possible to override this problem (hope have a selection box in each disk which can ignore disk report state). Check the bios to make sure there's not some sort of power feature that disables cores enabled. ryoko227
I cannot stress enough how important keeping your BIOS up to date is when refering to unRAID. This may be my personal experiences only, and it may only be related to my MBs specifically, but on 2 seperate systems I have had issues in unRAID that were corrected simply by updating the MB BIOS. Having come from the Windows world and having the mind set of "only update BIOS when your system has an issue", it was quite the change in mind set for me to actively check and keep my BIOSs updated. As I mentioned before though, multiple issues in 6.19 and the 6.2 betas were eliminated just from a BIOS update. In fact, I even updated before rc3, lol (no issues btw). I might also recommend that if you are updating from 6.19 to 6.2rc3 and suddenly nothing seems to work, try doing a clean install of 6.2rc3. This cleared up all of my other remaining issues when I migrated over from 6.19 to 6.2beta. Since getting into the 6.2 line though, the GUI updater has worked flawlessly for me. Link to comment

steve1977
Did anyone succeed to get preclear script/plugin to work with RC3? There is a beta plugin, which I didn't get to work at all. The "standard" plugin appears to potentially work when doing some edits with sed (see https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=13054.msg481622#msg481622 for context). Any experience what is working for you? Link to comment

jasonlh
I have upgraded to this release candidate (from 6.1.9) and I now have a sluggish/slow webui where page can take 20-30 seconds or more to load. I am seeing this error over and over again in the logs. Did I miss something in the upgrade steps (which I thought I followed)? I turned off docker and VM's, but it had no effect. The user shares work just fine as well, it's basically just the Web UI.
