NVMe as Cache Drive?

Anyone have an experience running a PCIe (v2 or v3) M.2 NVMe as a cache drive?  NVMe is head and shoulders above SSD performance wise, but curious if anyone has seen any significant benefit internal to the server (I can't imagine it would make a difference across GB ethernet.  But should over 10GB/s Ethernet?)
