August 2, 20169 yr I saw a post about running unRAID on a NAS enclosure (can't remember the brand) since it basically a low-power PC - which gives me an idea. I wonder if it's possible to have a Sun and Planets kinda system Central high-power unRAID server to do high-power stuff e.g. Plex, VM etc. Multiple NAS enclosures, each running unRAID purely for storage Each "planet" is mounted on the "sun" with Unassigned Devices SMB mount. Wonder if that would work?

August 2, 20169 yr You'd need a few licenses.... plus the "drive overhead" of having parity for each instead of having everything in one array.
