VPN or Proxy for sonarr, CP etc...

Featured Replies

I'm hoping there is a simple answer but I just haven't been able to find a good solution fro me.  All I need is a way to mask my queries to NZB and torrent indexers.  My setup...

UnRAID 6 with dockers for...

-binhex-sabnzbdvpn

-binhex-delugevpn

-CP, HP, Sonarr and others

Phaze Plugins...

- Plex

- BtSync

Problem...

- Need a VPN solution or similar to tunnel/mask traffic to NZB and torrent indexers

Options...

#1 Use peter_sm's OpenVPN client to tunnel all UnRAID server traffic through VPN.  However this also tunnels the Plex outbound traffic and breaks outside access of Plex.  Plus I really don't want to VPN my entire UnRAID server. If there was a way to assign unique IP's to dockers/Phaze's Plex installation I could use Peter_sm's VPN client and exclude specific IP's but I don't know how to do this or if it's even possible.

#2 Is there a docker that has an openVPN client and a proxy server.  This way I could point CP, sonarr etc... to this proxy server and all index queries would be routed over the VPN.  This to me seems like the best solution.

I guess I could do Option # 2 with a VM but dockers are much simpler and cleaner.

Option #3 ???  ideas?

Thanks

You already have option 2 :-) privoxy exists in all my *VPN dockers, all you need to do is enable it and then point cp etc at it.
