Ubuntu Desktop 14.04 VM - No VNC keyboard input after logging in

Featured Replies

A fresh install of Ubuntu Desktop 14.04 (Q35-2.3/SeaBIOS):

When using the web viewer (noVNC) or another VNC viewer I lose all keyboard input after successfully logging into my account.

Keyboard input works just fine while typing in my password, but after that it's a no go.

Mouse input works perfectly.  I have to use the onscreen keyboard to type anything.

Sudo user, root account disabled.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Edit:  Re-installed ubuntu and set it to automatically log in.  Works for about a minute after logging in then I lose all keyboard input again. Mouse continues to work.

Edit 2:  When the VNC window loses focus (clicking into another window on my main PC) that's when I lose all keyboard input.  Clicking back into the VNC window does not restore keyboard input.
