Lost my user/password

Featured Replies

Dawn,

i tested the user share and i did a bad operation, now i can't access to my unraid server interface, in Internet Explorer when i launch http://myunraid/main.htm, a window open for enter user and password (unRAID SMU), how can i reset it please ?  ;D

Try to use single mode to reset root pass.

Try to use single mode to reset root pass.

You will need to move your flash drive to a different PC, rename the config/passwd file to config/passwd.old

Then put it back in the unRAID server.

Then, you'll need to reboot the server.  since you cannot log in to cleanly stop it, you'll probably need to hit the reset or power button.  When it comes back up, it will be doing a parity check, but you should be able to log in.  let it finish the parity check.

If you had installed the powerdown script, you might be able to reboot cleanly by typing control-alt-delete.  Give it a try on the system console first before hitting the reset button.
