Intel S2600CP2J no IP address UNRAID 6.1.9

Featured Replies

Building UNRAID box on  Intel S2600CP2J.  After boot and logging in for the first time with default root I checked ifconfig.  Not getting an IP and I am not seeing eth0 listed.  I know DHCP is on the network as my laptop obtains IP no problem.  This is an internal network only not connected to interwebs.  I have tried both NIC cards on the mobo to the same results.  This dump is when cable is pulled into NIC 1.  Version UNRAID 6.1.9.  SanDisk Cruzer Fit CZ33 32GB USB 2.0.

Attached is my diagnostics dump.

Thank you for the help in advance!

You don't appear to have any NICs. Are they disabled in the BIOS?

No they are enabled.  In the BIOS I see a valid IP within my defined range on router DHCP table.

They are not being seen by Linux. Are you using some sort of virtualisation?

So I reviewed BIOS settings again and everything looked good.  I went ahead and reset to default settings and now I have an IP.  So I think i lied, the NICs were disabled in the BIOS on a setting I missed.

Thank you!

It's easy to miss the odd setting. Glad you're sorted now.
