August 8, 20169 yr Seeing how we have GitLab in the community app is nice, but the problem with GitLab, it's a memory hog. It will eat as much memory are you throw at it. There is alternatives such as Phabricator (which was developed as an internal tool at Facebook). The issue with Phabricator, it can be quiet annoying to set up sometimes. There is Gogs, it's lightweight (can run a RPi), and fully functional. Is it possible to get this in the community apps?
August 8, 20169 yr Searching for "gogs" in CA with dockerHub searches turned on turns of 5 pages of results (but you'd have to investigate the instructions on the dockerPage on how to properly run - click the icon for more info) Other than that, you could also limit the amount of memory through the extra parameters of gitlab to stop it from being a pig.
