August 10, 20169 yr I recently upgraded to 6.1.9 and recently was having some problems with permissions from Windows. I tried running the New Permissions tool and it seemed to hang on Drive 8. After doing a bit of reading I decided to check the file system from the GUI and it said there was a problem with the file tree. I then telneted in and ran "reiserfsck --rebuild-tree /dev/md8". All seemed to go as it should and I left only to come home to find the power was out. The array starts but Disk 8 is unmountable. When I put it into Maintence mode again and check the file system I get this: reiserfsck 3.6.24 Will read-only check consistency of the filesystem on /dev/md8 Will put log info to 'stdout' ########### reiserfsck --check started at Wed Aug 10 15:26:37 2016 ########### Replaying journal: Replaying journal: Done. Reiserfs journal '/dev/md8' in blocks [18..8211]: 0 transactions replayed Checking internal tree.. Bad root block 0. (--rebuild-tree did not complete) Any suggestions as to the next step? Should I attempt another rebuild-tree? Thanks!
August 12, 20169 yr Author Thanks johnnie.black --rebuild-tree seems to be successful. And it seems like the new perm tool worked on that same drive. Now I am having one of my shared folders showing as empty in Windows. The files are there though, I am pretty sure. I re-ran ReiserFS after the rebuild and it reported no errors. I have attached diagnostics. Thanks in advance! media-diagnostics-20160812-0836.zip
