[Solved] Unable to pull ip from router

Featured Replies

I bought a old asus p5n-d mobo and the rest of the parts needed to make a unraid server. I had a old gateway from same era that was running like a champ but this bundle had a intel core 2 extreme cpu with it. I am using the same ethernet cord and port as my old server was. I am unable to pull a IP. I have attached my logs.

Incompatible nic.

Your diagnostic files show that you are NOT getting an IP address via the DHCP process.  But apparently you already knew this.

Exactly, what is this gateway?  Most people are simply using a Router with a combined OR separate switch.  Also double check that your Ethernet cable is CAT5e or CAT6 certified.
