[SOLVED] Shutdown stuck in "unmounting disk share(s)..."

Featured Replies

I've been moving files around to free up a drive so I could finish my conversion from BTRFS to XFS.  Took a couple of days, but finally got all 4TB files moved.  I went to stop the array to do the format and its stuck repeating "unmounting disk share(s)..."

I ran a check with lsof...

root@HunterNAS:~# lsof | grep /mnt/
screen    20060       root  cwd       DIR                9,5     4096        103 /mnt/disk5/movies
bash      20061       root  cwd       DIR                9,5     4096        103 /mnt/disk5/movies
mc        20088       root  cwd       DIR                9,5     4096        103 /mnt/disk5/movies
bash      20091       root  cwd       DIR                9,5     4096        103 /mnt/disk5/movies
root@HunterNAS:~#

This was one of the directories that was moved.  Not sure what to do next.  Hard power down is certainly not a preferred option...

Thanks in advance...

My guess would be that your holding the share open with what ever is running in the screen command.

Kevin.

you can try

mount -l /mnt/disk5

thats a lower case L

Thanks!  That helped and I was able to reboot the server.
