SSH in black and white

Featured Replies

Hi,

new user to unraid. I'm not a linux guy but i always use ssh to connect to my drives, move the files by using command line.

Unfortunatly with unraid, when i ssh everything is in color, sometimes even with a background color. I have trouble reading it, using ssh from my smarthphone is a nightmare with all those colors. I would like everything to be just black and white.

How can i accomplish this?

thank you.

It's Black & White for me  :-\

What are using for the ssh connection?    Typically colours are controlled from the client end.  Sometimes the type of terminal you elect to emulate can also be a factor.

i use terminal in os x, always use this one and this is the first time everything is in color, same on android with juicessh. So the colorscheme has to be server controlled.

To force black and white in OS X Terminal do this: Terminal -> Preferences -> Settings -> Text then uncheck the "Display ANSI Colors" option.
