dmrichards26
Unfortunately, my APC UPS does not have a USB connection on-board, so I'm looking to see if there is another way to connect my UPS to my unRAID server to power it down automatically at, say, 20 percent charge. Perhaps I can use a serial connection for this? Any help and advice is appreciated! UPS model is SU3000RMXL3U - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16842101152 Quote Link to comment
digitalfixer
According to the manual it has a usb connector. http://bl831.als.lbl.gov/~gmeigs/PDF/APC_SUA300RMXL3U.pdf Failing that you will need a smart serial cable. dmrichards26
Unfortuetly, the SUA series have the USB port, while the SU series I has does not. I just ordered a smart serial cable to make the connection - any special configuration needed in unRAID to make this work in the UPS daemon? Quote Link to comment
Frank1940
Try looking in the apcuspd manual. You can find it here: http://www.apcupsd.org/manual/manual.html Quote Link to comment
