How can I connect my connect my unRAID server to my UPS?

Unfortunately, my APC UPS does not have a USB connection on-board, so I'm looking to see if there is another way to connect my UPS to my unRAID server to power it down automatically at, say, 20 percent charge. Perhaps I can use a serial connection for this?

 

Any help and advice is appreciated!

    Unfortuetly, the SUA series have the USB port, while the SU series I has does not.

     

    I just ordered a smart serial cable to make the connection - any special configuration needed in unRAID to make this work in the UPS daemon?
