August 26, 20169 yr Author Sorry for the late replies. I purchased replacement fans (for case), cpu cooler, and PSU to make the server quiet for home use. None of this is installed they are all brand new parts, like I said I just never got time to set it up. The standard PSU is loud. This is a picture of what it can look like if you replace the default PSU (this is not my pic but the rest of parts are the same) The cpu's are a few years old, you can find more info on sites like this - http://cpuboss.com/cpu/AMD-Opteron-2425-HE I don't own a killo-watt so I have no idea about the power draw, but I can tell you that replacing the fans and PSU with a more efficient one will have a big impact, the bulk of the power draw is likely going to be based on how many drives are used since it will idle most of the time.
