Parity check not working

Featured Replies

I attempted to search for this, but came up short - that said, I apologize if this has been covered. I am running unraid 6.1.9 and have been since it was available. I restart once per month +/-, just or housekeeping purposes. For some reason the auto parity check has either not been completed, or is not recognized as completed. I currently stand at 80 days since the last attempted parity check, which I aborted since it was a known good Parity. I now have the following prominently displayed on the dashboard.

Last check incomplete on Fri 03 Jun 2016 07:14:20 PM PDT (80 days ago), finding 0 errors.
Error code: -4

I cannot find anything for error code -4... again, possibly missing something here. the Mover works famously, but the parity check doesn't seem to be operative. I am performing a manual parity check now, which I expect will be correct, but any ideas what I can do to restore the automated parity check? My current schedule is set for weekly, Tuesday, at midnight.

Thanks in advance

Matt

I think error code -4 in this case just means you stopped it before it completed.

Are you sure you have parity check scheduled? It's under Settings - Scheduler.

If it looks like it is scheduled in the GUI try changing it and then change it back to what you want so you can resave the setting.

I have changed the settings and saved them. I will post back when I can say definitively whether that fixed it.
