Losing GUI and then Powerdown script doesn't seem to work

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have been having some troubles with v6.1.9.  I seem to frequently lose access to the GUI, I can still telnet in though.  When I run the Powerdown script and as for it to so a complete shutdown nothing seens to happen.

I manually did a powerdown and when restarted unraid is doing a parity check

I have attached the diagnostic files it created.

Thanks!

Evan

It has been some time since you posted your query without a response, so I thought I would ask some questions.

First, is this the powerdown script that you are talking about?

Second, please describe your server hardware in some detail.  You can see what I am asking for by looking in my signature.  (Amount of RAM is a useful thing to know with this problem!)

Third, Please list any plugins and dockers that you are running.

Fourth, do you still have access to your shares when the GUI stops working?

3. The only plugins I have are Powerdown and Open Files - don't use any dockers.

4. I generally lose the shares access too.

1. yes, that is the script.

Since you are using the this optional powerdown script, you should have a syslog file inside of the logs folder on the flash drive any time you have a successful shutdown from the GUI.

Next time you have this happen, type  powerdown syslog  from the command line and that should also write the syslog file to the logs folder.
