TBS6902 DVB-S2 Dual Tuner PCIe Card not recognized. [ SOLVED ]

Featured Replies

Hi,

I just installed unraid 6.9 and want to use tvheadend but my dvb-s card is not recognized . it’s a TBS6902 DVB-S2 . The logs shows the card as Multimedia controller: Device 544d:6178.

Can I manually install the drivers ?

See my plugin in my signature.

Oke, thank you for replaying , so the solution is to upgrade to R6.2 C4 ??

No, there are versions for all releases since v6.1.0 selectable for download from within the plugin.

You can install the drivers manually if you wish, take a look at my github repo for the scripts that I use to create the plugin files.

If you aren't familiar with Linux, Slackware and Kernel compiling then doing it manually is a world of pain although a good learning experience..... I remember it well.

Hi  CHBMB,

Thanks for the info I installed the unraid dvb edition and the card is visible :) do you know if the sundtek dvb-c usb will be added to the dvb edition  ??

I read somewhere else that the driver has to be installed in the guest  ( https://github.com/dreamcat4/docker-images/issues/15 )

The drivers that are there are there.  You could try the CrazyCat TBS drivers, but other than that, no, I can't really add extra drivers.  It's complicated but TBS modifies the base DVB stuff from the kernel so getting two separate driver bundles is hit and miss.
