August 30, 20169 yr Im currently running an ASRock H77 Pro4M with an i7-3770 proc and it has run well for a good amount of time. I purchased 3 Dell H310's to replace my problematic SAS2LP-MV8 cards and for some reason i cannot get all 3 of the H310's to work on the ASRock board at the same time. Ive tried putting them into my desktop and they work fine so that tells me its a mobo issue. So, without having to replace my proc and whatnot can anyone recommend a 1155 board i could just swap with?
August 30, 20169 yr Asrock H77 Pro4-M: - 1 x PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot (PCIE1: x16 mode) - 2 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots (PCIE3: x1 mode; PCIE4: x4 mode) One of the slots is only x1 electrically, no wonder the H310 doesn't work, I believe the minimum is x4, ideal is x8. Because of the i7 you can't use a server board, like the Supermicro X9SCM/SCL, try to a get a Z77 board with SLI support, these usually have 2 x PCIe x8 + 1 x PCIe x4 e.g.: Z77 Extreme3 - 2 x PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots (PCIE2/PCIE3: single at x16 (PCIE2) / x8 (PCIE3) or dual at x8/x8 mode) - 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot (PCIE4 @ x4 mode)
August 30, 20169 yr Author Since I already have the Pro4-M and I cannot get the 3 H310's to work on it wouldn't i be at risk of the same thing happening here if i go with the Pro4?
August 30, 20169 yr I was pointing out why your current board doesn't work (though I wrote Pro4 instead of Pro4-M), I said to get something with SLI support like the Z77 Extreme3. did you read the complete post?

I don´t know if it´s already been sold, but a have an Gigabyte GA-H77-DS3H (rev. 1.1) and it works fine as the GA-Z77-DS3H as i´ve been told. Passthrough my Radeons HD 5450 and 6450 and motherboard´s usb 3.0 controller with success. Running one gpu with a Localized Windows VM and another with OpenElec. The IGFX stays with unraid itself.
