VM freezing after approx 10 minutes of game play

Featured Replies

I recently installed unraid on my desktop pc in order to have a nas and a couple of VMs. I installed windows 10 on my first VM and passed through my gtx970. I also allowed my VM 16 GB of ram.

While playing games, the VM seems to freeze completely after about 10 minutes, and then the entire PC reboots.

Has anyone seen this issue before?

*EDIT : The GPU temperatures look to be normal.

Thanks,

-Martin

and then the entire PC reboots.

The rebooting is a weird occurence after a freeze, how's your power supply?

My powersupply is a 850W corsair RM850i, while I'm at it, here's my full system specs that I should have included in my first post :

Motherboard : asus z97-A usb 3.1

CPU : intel i7-4790k

Ram : 32gb hyperx fury 1600

GPU : asus gtx970 and asus gts 450

It all seems to work smoothly for the first couple of minutes, and I've been using this pc for a year now without unraid and never had this issue.

Thanks,

-Martin

Post your full diagnostics if you can to help us figure out the cause.

A long Memtest would be my next obvious things to check.

Also trying to capture the syslog when this occurs, I believe the fix common problems plugin has the option to capture log files regularly, which can help with troubleshooting since this is all deleted when you reboot (sits in RAM).
