4.5 Unraid losing network

Featured Replies

Earlier this week I had my first issue with Unraid.  I lost my network connection.  I have not changed anything in the past couple of months other than upgrading to 4.5 final.  How do I proceed with troubleshooting this problem.  I am unable to grab a syslog as the network connection is lost.  I went to my router and noticed that the IP address for the unraid server is gone from the list of active connections.  When this happened for the first time on Wednesday - I cold rebooted as I could not even putty into the server and everything came back normal until this second failure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dan

You can't telnet to it because it's network is down.

But you can still access your server on the console, right?

So try saving the syslog to your flash key:

cp  /var/log/syslog  /boot

I feel like such an idiot.....no issue with unraid... the NIC on the PC I was using crashed.

Purko - good point about the console - I have had the unit headless for so long - I forgot the obvious!
