September 3, 20169 yr I probably have a flakey MV8 card because I do not see the too many missing disks error anymore. I removed preclear disk beta which was the other change I made prior to this issue happening. I cannot see any more issues in the log, but the WebGUI will not start. Can anyone see the cause of problem now? Diagnostics attached. tower-diagnostics-20160903-0758.zip
September 3, 20169 yr Author I just noticed something odd. I am reaching my server via SSH. At 192.169.1.79. I can ping that IP address as well. But this diagnostics file does not have the name of the server. It says tower. Before it's said the name of the server, Megatron. Is it possible the config is not loading?

September 3, 20169 yr Author Yikes. I will try the latest RC while I wait for the new MV8. The board I have only takes PCI-X not PCIe. So it's probably time for a new board if the MV8 cards don't solve the problem. Any recommendation on a replacement for the H8DAE that has PCIe? I assume I should replace with another server board? I have desktop boards but I don't want to replace power supplies if I don't need too. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
September 3, 20169 yr Author Ok. I bit the bullet and got a new motherboard, ram and disk controllers. All should fit into my SuperMicro 933 15 Disk Case. New MB: X8DTE (https://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/QPI/5500/X8DT6-F.cfm?SAS=N&IPMI=N) CPU's: 2 x L5520 CPU's (http://ark.intel.com/products/40201/Intel-Xeon-Processor-L5520-8M-Cache-2_26-GHz-5_86-GTs-Intel-QPI) 32 GB RAM New Controllers: 2x Dell PowerEdge RAID Controller 310 (http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/pvaul/en/dell-perc-h310-spec-sheet.pdf) Upgrading to PCI-Express and 32GB of RAM with the ability to use SSDs ... all of that should be a much better system than what I have (had). All that cost me $230, so hopefully when it's all done it's worth it.
