Under the 'General Support (V6)' area, search for    SMB Windows 10    and look through the list of topics that discuss the problem that you are having.  (You are NOT alone... And there is NOT a single solution!)  You will probably find the solution to your issue in one of those topics.  If you don't find a solution in one of them, come back and tell what you tried and the results.

I still don't see the server on my network. I see on one of my laptops, but not on my new laptop.

There has to be an easier way to get this fix.

All of these types of problems that I have seen have been on the Windows 10 side of the equation.  Windows 10 introduced a new/revised security setup and apparently, it is not playing well with unRAID.  Plus, there are at least three major version of Windows s10, (Home, Pro and Enterprise) and there seems to be differences in how the security is being handled with each one.

That is why I said to look at the threads and see if any of the earlier solutions worked for you.  If they don't, come back and post a DETAILED account of exactly what is happening and the error messages that you are seeing.  Then someone may be able to help you.  I believe that everyone has finally gotten it to work...

I have the win 10 Home edition. I tried everything, also its on a workgroup, I connected all my laptops and desktops to the same workgroup, I can see all the computers, except the server. I can see the server on my wife's laptop, but not in mine..

Win10 is messed up on network discovery, as is all previous versions of windows.

Easiest solution is to navigate to \\192.168.1.xxx (or whatever the IP is of the server) and then pin that to quick access

Have you setup your unRAID server to allow it to become the Local Master.  Go to 'Settings', 'SMB' 'Workgroup Settings'.  Now set 'Local master browser:' to "Yes".  This works best if your unRAID server is on 24-7.  It can also help to ensure that your server is elected the Local Master by putting the following in to the box on the  'SMB',  'SMB Extras' page.

[global]
domain master = yes
preferred master = yes
os level = 255

After doing this, this quickest way to force the election of your server as the Local Master is shutdown every computer on the system for about fifteen minutes and slowly start everything back up.  To find out which computer on your network is the Local Master, install the Local Master plugin for Dynamix found in the first post here:

EDIT: And make sure that your Workgroup name is all Caps.  Windows does NOT differentiate between caps and small  letters and Linux does!  (Caps and caps are the same name to Windows and two different names for Linux!)
