windows vm black screen after boot

Hi, i am trying to build a new server with 2 windows vms (already have a nas with unraid form like 1 year and i want to have the nas and the pc in one system), and am having some serious problems so far:

 

this is the host system

M/B: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. - Z97X-UD3H-CF

CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-4690K CPU @ 3.50GHz

HVM: Enabled

IOMMU: Enabled

Cache: 256 kB, 1024 kB, 6144 kB

Memory: 8 GB (max. installable capacity 32 GB) (plan to install more ram if vms works)

 

 

i am trying to build 2 vms:

 

first vm: gtx570, working fine so far, with seabios (i think my gpu don't supports uefi boot)

i have the problem that if i need to reboot the vm, i will need to reboot the entire server, but i know it's a problem with the gtx570, that i am going to change in the future

 

 

 

the big problems are when i try to boot the second vm, with a gt230 gpu

 

i tried every config possible (again only seabios):

host passthrough / emulated

2 cores / 4 cores

i440fx-2.5 / Q35-2.5

hyperv on / off

 

but on every config, when i boot the vm, initially i see the windows loading screen, but then the monitor just lose signal

i was able to install windows with vnc, i can only access the vm by changing the gpu to vnc (and if i let both vnc and the gtx230 i see error 43 on the gt230)

if i try to install windows on the gt230, as soon as it installs the gpu drivers, on the next reboot i lose signal after loading screen

Anyone??

 

I tried to rollback to 6.1.9 and i nave these results:

 

Gtx570 VM works same as before

 

Gt230 VM works but after some reboots makes the server crash and I have to hard reset it

Also of I try to stop the VM from windows, when I try to restart it, the server will hang, I have to stop the VM from the server webui but, as said before, sometimes it will hang anyway

I had a similar problem when I was trying to install Windows 10.

Windows was installing fine over VNC, but as soon as I changed to my graphics card it booted up, but I only got a black screen.

 

I tried to install the graphics drivers over VNC, and it looked fine, but never really installed properly.

 

So my solution was to setup RDP, then edit my VM and connect my graphics card and reboot.

Now it starts up with a black screen same as before.

Next step is to login through RDP from a different computer, and from there install the proper graphics drivers and reboot.
