September 5, 20169 yr Hi, I'm very new to this so please bear with me. I'm confused about how what to do with the container volumes. I'll use NZBGet for example. In Windows when you install it creates several folder such as nzb (stores nzb files), intermediate (downloading and unpacking) and complete. Do I create these folders on my cache drive and then point to them in the container volumes? Thanks in advance, Ryan
September 5, 20169 yr Community Expert Do you fully understand volume mappings? That is the main difference between using dockers and using applications on your PC. If you understand that, then everything else is typically set within the application. In the case of NZBGet, what you are talking about is set within the application's Settings on the Path page. The paths you mentioned are probably the defaults, but you can set them to whatever you want. I have my MainDir set to /downloads and all other paths relative to that. In that docker's settings I have the /downloads container volume mapped to a specific location in my unRAID storage. Have you read the Docker FAQ sticky?
September 5, 20169 yr Author Right, I think I figured it out. I can create these folders in downloads and then point to them in the paths in the configuration. Correct?
September 5, 20169 yr Community Expert You can map /downloads, for example, to your unraid /mnt/user/whatever, then set your MainDir in NZBGet to /downloads and I think the other paths will default to subfolders off that.
