I'll have to take the blame for now.  Still moving everything to unRAID server and she's been patiently waiting for me to get everything working again before she starts using it.  :(

Seems like it was easier to get it all working the first time under Ubuntu.  Or I'm just getting better at suppressing the bad memories.  ;)

I use Ubuntu as well as Unraid, I don't think either is easier or more difficult than the other, just different.  Although Ubuntu is easier to troubleshoot as it's so much more common.  Having said that, give me a docker over a PPA any day...

Whether the wife actually caused the issue or not is irrelevant, just blame her anyway....  ;D

So, I think something is happening when the guide is updating.  There were only single recordings scheduled when I went to bed but now shows doubles again for today.  Here is the overnight log.  Is there some other log that shows more details?

Why do you update the EPG so often?

It looks like your EPG database gets deleted or not saved. Try enabling Periodically save EPG to disk (hours):

In the EPG grabber tab.

Do you have multiple channels of the same one configured?

I'll have to verity all this when I get home but I thought I had it set to update once a day. Apparently not.

I don't think I have multiples under the 'channels' tab but will verify this as well.

I don't suppose there is a config file I could export that would show everything in one place?

The config is in multiple files and I'm not very familiar with them, so better with screenshots.

So, it looks like I don't have duplicate channels enabled in the 'Channels' tab.

I did find duplicate entries in the 'EPG Grabber Channels tab.  I'll delete the ones that don't show any previous update time.

Added save guide to disk at 6 hours and changed cron jobs to only run once at 00:04 (I think).  Old and new settings attached.

From the latest log it appears the guide was updated at 14:02 and 15:02.

Resetting auto records and restarting container.

Still getting the failed recordings due to 'time missed' error. New log from today is attached (zipped for size).

The upcoming recordings does not show any duplicates.

Minor victory, the guide data seems to be saved now and only new or changes are added.  That's if I'm reading the logs correctly.

Thanks again for helping out with this even though the issues are caused by operator...

Hi,

Yes i have switched from bridge to host, i updated the docker. Should i try installing from scratch??

I know the muxes and have the .m3u file which i can open to view the individual streams.

How do i add??

Thanks

You add a new network and choose automatic IPTV network. In the URL field add this: file:///config/your.m3u

This should add the mixes and scan them. You copy the m3u file to your appdata folder for tvheadend.

Hey together,

I've got a Problem with Tvheadend.

When I start a recording, the container hangs!

I can see this Message in the Log:

mpegts: too much queued table input data

Until recently the recordings worked.

Thanks.

Not much we can do about it as it looks like a bug or too little resources available. See here.

thanks for your answer.

Is there a version which works correctly in the CA?

thanks.

This is a problem with tvheadend or your system. Nothing we can do about it.

You can try the stable version if you are using latest version. To use the stable version, add the below in the end of the repository field in tvh template.

:stable-4.0.9

hey Saarg,

thanks for your suggestion.

Now I've moved away from Docker with TvHeadend and created a Ubuntu VM.

I've added this to my Syslinux.cfg for my 2 Digital Devices Adapters and installed the stock bzroot+bzimage files.

  append vfio-pci.ids=dd01:0003 initrd=/bzroot

After a reboot i've added the Adapters to a new Ubuntu 16.04 VM and installed TvHeadend and mapped a NFS share for recordings.

All 6 Adapters working correctly. Also the recording feature.

If anybody have the same issue this is a way you can go.

I'm just double checking the this docker is on the most recent unstable version. According to TVHeadend I'm on version 4.1-2370~g0c506b4.

When I look at https://bintray.com/tvheadend it says there was a version 4.1-2372~gfca44ba released.

If I'm not just seeing things, is it possible to update the docker for the new version? Or, is there a way I can update the software without waiting for the docker update?

Thanks!

I'm thinking about getting into HDHomeRun using this Docker.

Just wondering if it would be possible to use some kind of wakeup script like this right here: https://tvheadend.org/projects/tvheadend/wiki/Wakeup

As I can't make changes to the filesystem using TVHeadend in a container. So is this working somehow?

You can achieve similar functionality using the Dynamix S3 Sleep Plugin http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=36543.0 by calling a custom wakeup script from the plugin's pre-sleep actions.
