I went with default as it seemed safer. From what you've said, this should be 4.2.x but I've got 4.3.x - so something's not right in the description. I'll do a fresh install now using 'release-4.2' not 'Default' A missing comma there. Makes more sense now Quote Link to comment
TexasDave
I am trying to get TVHeadend to work with a couple of other dockers. There is supposed to be an ability to access "EPG Grabber Modules" as follows: Configuration -> Channel / EPG -> EPG Grabber Modules I just see "EPG Grabber" (not "EPG Grabber Modules"). Is this the same thing? I have tried basic and expert settings. If I was installing this not though a docker, I would do: "apt-get install xmltv-util" Is this built into this docker? Thanks! saarg
It's there, but you might have to clear your cache after changing the setting to expert. Quote Link to comment
TexasDave
When I run TVHeadend on Linux, I see "EPG Grabber Modules" - see attached screenshot. Can I confirm I should be seeing this in the docker? Thanks!! Edited March 4, 2018 by TexasDave Quote Link to comment

TexasDave
I have tried clearing cache and even installed FireFox and Opera (from scratch) but still do not see that tab.... Not an emergency by any stretch of the imagination.... :-) Quote Link to comment

I setup tvheadend again this weekend and I think the EPG grabber modules link doesn't show up until they are activated: https://www.linuxserver.io/2017/02/19/how-to-set-up-tvheadend-with-your-dvb-t2-receiver/ Quote Enabling an Internal EPG module Each internal module requires configuration as they will be using different sources - you need to define which channels to get data for. Before enabling an internal module, first click on it and make note of the Path: as you'll need it to run the following command: docker exec -it -u abc tvheadend /usr/bin/tv_grab_uk_tvguide --configure The above will run the configuration steps for "Internal: XMLTV: UK - TV Guide (tvguide.co.uk)". Once this step has been completed, you can tick the Enabled box and Save. Do this for as many modules as you want. Quote Link to comment

Do a chmod -R 777 /dev/dvb and the tuners should show. Put it in your go file so it gets applied at every boot. Quote Link to comment
Marv
Hi, I'm trying to setup the following wakeup script (under point 4) with the user script plugin. https://tvheadend.org/projects/tvheadend/wiki/Wakeup I modified the path within the script to point to my tvheadend dvr location in appdata but unfortunately when testing the script I get: /tmp/user.scripts/tmpScripts/Wakeup for recordings/script: line 25: 1520374200 1520374500: syntax error in expression (error token is "1520374500") When I check with 'cat /sys/class/rtc/rtc0/wakealarm' afterwards there is a timestamp present but its completely wrong. What am I doing wrong here? Another thing: As I just set this container up.. my log is full of those entries: 2018-03-11 01:54:09.408 [ ERROR] http: 192.168.121.19: HTTP/1.1 GET /imagecache/95 -- 404 2018-03-11 01:46:14.307 [ ERROR] http: 192.168.121.10: HTTP/1.1 GET /stream/channelid -- 503 It seems to be some kind of permission thing?
